Fahrenheit isn't the only new kid on the block at Hersheypark this year.
Introducing... Howler at Hersheypark!

The passengers spin the cars themselves so they can have the ride they want. After the rotation reaches 10 RPM, the entire ride lifts 7 1/2 feet and tilts at 20 degrees. This gives a great visual effect and causes the cars to swing in and out. After about 45 seconds, the ride lowers and the inverter drive smoothly brings the ride to a stop. Air brakes bring each car to a smooth stop and the passengers unload.

I had no idea about this new attraction at Hersheypark until yesterday, I guess they don't really announce flatrides like Busch Gardens Europe.
I guess its nice of Hersheypark to add Fahrenheit for the thrill seekers and to add Howler for the younger guests, although Howler does sound pretty thrilling!

So next time you're at Hersheypark, make sure not to give Fahrenheit all the new attention, be sure to check out Howler!

Howler will be located in Pioneer Frontier.

The photo I posted above is the centerpiece of Howler. The ride vechicles that surround the centerpiece look like this:

I believe Hersheypark purchased Howler from an amusment park know as Idle Wild, which was located in western Pennsylvania, which I think shutdown last year.
